This Cookie Policy explains how Rehabity Health LLC (doing business as Rehabity) ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website at http://www.rehabityhealth.com and use our web and mobile applications (the "Services"). It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control our use of them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Related technologies — such as your browser's local storage — let a website or application remember information between visits. These technologies are widely used to make websites and apps work, or to work more efficiently.
Technologies set by the website owner (in this case, Rehabity) are called "first-party." Those set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party," and they enable features such as payment processing or embedded video to be provided on or through the Services.
Do we use cookies, and why?
Rehabity does not set any advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites. Because we use only strictly necessary, first-party storage, we do not display a cookie-consent banner. The technologies we do rely on fall into these categories:
- Authentication and security (essential). When you sign in, our authentication provider (Google Firebase Authentication) stores your session in your browser's local storage or IndexedDB — not in an advertising cookie — so you stay signed in and your account remains secure. On the mobile app, this session is stored securely on your device. These are strictly necessary; without them you could not use the Services.
- Preferences and app state (essential). We store your preferences and interface state (for example, onboarding progress, saved favorites, and notification settings) in your browser's local storage on your own device. This information stays on your device and is not used to track you.
- First-party usage analytics. For signed-in users, we collect limited, first-party information about which features are used so we can understand and improve the Services. On our public pages (such as our home page and pricing page), we count page views and clicks on links and buttons for the same purpose. These public-page counts are anonymous: we do not place a cookie, an identifier, or any other file on your device to collect them, and we do not record your IP address or browser details alongside them. They are simple totals and cannot be linked to you or to a return visit. All of this information is processed on our own systems, is not tied to advertising, and is never shared with advertising networks. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track signals: if your browser sends either, we record nothing at all on our public pages.
Third-party technologies
A small number of third parties provide functionality within the Services and may set their own cookies in their own context:
- Stripe (payments). When a clinic completes a subscription purchase, checkout takes place on Stripe's own pages. Stripe sets cookies in its own context to process the payment and prevent fraud. See Stripe's privacy notice at https://stripe.com/privacy.
- YouTube (exercise reference videos). Some exercise reference videos are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube does not set tracking cookies until you actually press play on a video. See the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
- Content delivery networks. We load common resources (fonts and interface libraries) from third-party content delivery networks. These do not set cookies, though — like any request to any server — they receive your device's IP address.
How can I control cookies?
Because Rehabity does not set advertising or tracking cookies, there is no cookie-preference banner to manage. You can still control cookies and local storage through your web browser or device settings. If you choose to block or delete the essential storage the Services rely on, you may not be able to stay signed in or use certain features.
